Undergraduate major:

Landscape Architecture (2.1 degree)

Student Background:

As I did not perform well in the Chinese College Entrance Exam, I joined a collaborative project between Wuhan Textile University and BCU during my undergraduate studies. When I was in my third year of undergraduate study, I started to consult a number of agents to start preparing my Masters application. However, I found that my academic background was very unfriendly to UK Masters applications, as the UK has a strict vetting mechanism for undergraduate backgrounds in China, and my institution was not on many QS 100 lists. There was no suitable agent who could give me a satisfactory application package. I was not able to get a good offer until I finished my undergraduate degree. With the epidemic, I decided to take a gap year and continue applying. I was then introduced to the University Choice team through a friend. The teacher I met was very professional in his own right and didn't vote down my background, but gave me solid advice from multiple perspectives. They even felt that my background was perfectly suited to the University of Edinburgh. My advisor helped me to explore the relevance of my background to the subject I was applying for, and my copywriter caught my point of interest and helped me to write targeted documents. During the gap period, I also actively cooperated with my advisor's advice, participated in internships related to my major to improve my competitiveness and update my CV. In the end, after a period of anxious waiting, I actually received an offer from Edinburgh. In addition to Edinburgh, I also received offers from several other alternative schools, so it is really obvious that my choice was not wrong, and my gap year was worth it. Thanks to University Choice.

Media Studies (2.1 degree)

Student Background:

Although I studied in the UK during my undergraduate studies, my grades were not too good at the beginning and were always around 2.2 degree. Then, I was then introduced to the University Choice team through a friend. First, I improved my dissertation writing first through the dissertation tutoring they provided and my grades improved significantly. Meanwhile, my advisor encouraged me to take the plunge and apply for Education MA at UCL because of the enthusiasm I showed for the education sector during my consultation. Also during my undergraduate studies, I experienced the impact of the epidemic and most schools offered students online tuition in order to comply with the government's social distance requirements and to protect children, with a range of distance learning software such as zoom being widely used in various schools. As a result, I had a lot of my own ideas about the impact of digital technology, especially the emerging digital media, on education. My advisor and copywriter captured this interest, explored the relevance of my background to the major I was applying to, and wrote my essay in a targeted manner. Although I was apprehensive, they were very attentive throughout the application process and the advisors responded to all my questions promptly. After a period of waiting, I actually received an offer from UCL to study Education. And I was more motivated and relieved to be able to concentrate on my studies, and eventually I removed my conditions and got an unconditional offer. Finally, my advisor helped me to find school accommodation and apply for student visa. Therefore, I am truly grateful to University Choice for helping me to achieve my dream of attending G5 university.

I was introduced to the University Choice through a recommendation from my classmate. Before I met their consultants, I had already got an agent to help me with my Master's degree application. However, after talking to them, I felt that I was not satisfied with the first agent’s professionalism. As they did not help me choose a university based on my interests, but only told me which university and majors I could choose. As such, I approached the University Choice team to help me with my application as well. Firstly, the advisors at University Choice were very professional and willing to help me choose a university according to my interest and major direction. Although I had an HND from a non-degree institution and my final results were not high, they were able to help me choose a university according to a scientific gradient. Secondly, the University Choice team was very attentive to the preparation of my documents. For example, they not only helped me to revise my PS again and again but also guided me to discover my unexplored strengths and reflect them in my documents. Additionally, I was very happy with the efficiency of the application process, as I submitted all my applications as soon as the application started. Beyond my expectation, I acquired offers for all of my applications. Surprisingly, I got an offer from the University of Bristol as well, even though my average score and background were not advantageous. And the other agent who applies only received a rejection letter, so I am very happy about the professionalism of the University Choice team. I would recommend them to anyone from my own experience.

Sociology and Education, Average score: 58/(2.2 degrees)

Student Background:

I have been studying in the UK since pre-university foundation and I enjoy my subject in Social Sciences. However, most of the assessments for Social Sciences are essays and it is not easy to get high marks for the essay assessments. I, unfortunately, did not get an average score of 60 or above at the end of my second year.  I was unable to meet entry requirements to those top universities and I was going to give up postgradaute applications. By chance I was introduced to the University Choice team by a classmate, and the advisor I was working with explained in detail the application process in the UK and encouraged me not to lose hope. They told me that even though my scores were not very good, I still had a chance to get a conditional offer from a top university. I, therefore, decided to take their advice and proceed with the application first. At the same time, I tried to get a higher mark for my final year. I was not very efficient in preparing my application documents because I was busy with my studies. But University Choice reminded me frequently of what I needed to do, and I was able to submit my applications to Durham University and Manchester University in time. After waiting for a while, I was very fortunate to receive a conditional offer from Durham University. I was very happy because after all, my current average score did not meet the minimum requirements for admission to Durham University and Durham's Social Sciences are quite strong. The University of Manchester was also continuing to review my application and I listened to the University Choice team’s advice to supplement my results from the first semester of my final year.  I am very much looking forward to the outcome of my application to Manchester. All in all, I would highly recommend University Choice for anyone’s application.

Surveying and Mapping Engineering, Average score 88.15
As my undergraduate education and average academic results were good, I always aimed to apply to a QS Top 30 university. Due to the inaction of my previous agents for their slow response time and poor quality of documents, my application results in the first year were not satisfactory, for example, Bristol University put me on the waiting list. As a result, I had to take a gap year to prepare my application again. As I had an awful experience with an agent, I wanted to apply on my own this time. However, I was under huge psychological pressure that I would not get the best result. I contacted University Choice that was recommended by a fellow student. After the previous application experience, I was able to understand the UK application process very well. Therefore, when I spoke to the University Choice team, I was open to state my expectations of the agency. The overall impression I got from the communication was that the University Choice team were very professional and they also showed me a lot of success stories and sample documents and promised to meet my high requirements for the quality of the documents. I decided to apply through the University Choice team as the service fee was also reasonable. My application process was smooth and I completed the application package during the summer. My advisor helped me to brainstorm and revise my personal statement. My ideal university is Imperial College, which is very strict with the students from mainland Chinese universities and their admission conditions are also very demanding. Many students with average scores of 90 are unable to be accepted. The consultant in the company helped me to select the right major to apply based on methodical analysis and discussion. Finally, I got the interview chance and  also successfully got an offer from Imperial College London. It is obvious that my agency choice was a good one and the one-year waiting was worth it. Thanks to University Choice Team again!

Before I came to the UK for my Top Up degree, I was enrolled in an AP course in Denmark. However, after much deliberation, I decided to come to the UK to continue to complete my undergraduate and master's degree. I went back and forth and consulted several agents, but due to my very complicated background, I received ambiguous answers about transferring credits from Denmark to the UK. I was then introduced to a senior advisor at University Choice through a friend, and my first impression was that the team at University Choice were very professional. They went through the nature of the AP programme and then analysed my current options and gave me a clear answer that the easiest way was to get an undergraduate degree through Top Up and then apply for a master's degree through an Undergraduate degree for a Master. I was able to get an offer for a top-up course at Coventry University through them, and I felt so comfortable working with them that I decided to apply for a master’s course through the University Choice team again. As I was surrounded by friends who had graduated from top universties, I was also very keen to study at a top 50 unversity, but to be honest I didn't have a lot of confidence given my background. Knowing that the overall number of top-up degree students who get into a top 50 university is generally low, I was actually under a lot of pressure. However, the University Choice team didn't let my background deter them, and instead gave me a very honest analysis and plan about universities and majors for my situation. I was delighted to receive an offer from King's College London. I always feel that a good application requires the efforts of both the applicant and the agent. And the service provided by the University Choice team exceeded my expectations and is very

International Economics and Trade, Average score: 83
Because I studied my undergraduate at a incompetently ranked university, I was keen to study a Master's degree at a higher-ranked university. After spending a year on exchange at the University of Maribor in Slovenia, I was so impressed with the experience I had gained. So I decided to apply for a Master's degree abroad. After talking to my friends and teachers, I felt that the UK was a very ideal place to pursue a postgraduate study, not only due to the variety of well-established institutions but also because I could finish my study in just one year. After making my decision, I consulted many agents and found that my academic background was not competitive for a UK postgradaute application at top unveristies, as my previous institution was not recognised by those top QS 100 universties in the UK. I attended many information sessions in Beijing and received the same feedback from those top universities. I was then introduced to the University Choice team in the UK through a friend.  The advisor I met was super professional and did not vote down my education background. Instead, they gave me solid advice from different perspectives. They even felt that my background was perfectly competent to apply for the University of Manchester (ranked top 50 by QS). I wasn't very sure that this would work.  The University Choice staff were very attentive throughout the whole application process. They also worked with me on the paperwork and document preparation, exploring the relevance of my background to the subject I was applying for. I couldn't believe it when I finally got the offer from the University of Manchester. I still remembered that I had attended a recruitment seminar of the University of Manchester in China before and the University representative said that my background was not very promising. Therefore, I am grateful to the University Choice team for helping me to get an offer from the dream university.
