University of Durham, Master in Religion and Sociology

I have been studying in the UK since pre-university foundation and I enjoy my subject in Social Sciences. However, most of the assessments for Social Sciences are essays and it is not easy to get high marks for the essay assessments. I, unfortunately, did not get an average score of 60 or above at the end of my second year.  I was unable to meet entry requirements to those top universities and I was going to give up postgradaute applications. By chance I was introduced to the University Choice team by a classmate, and the advisor I was working with explained in detail the application process in the UK and encouraged me not to lose hope. They told me that even though my scores were not very good, I still had a chance to get a conditional offer from a top university. I, therefore, decided to take their advice and proceed with the application first. At the same time, I tried to get a higher mark for my final year. I was not very efficient in preparing my application documents because I was busy with my studies. But University Choice reminded me frequently of what I needed to do, and I was able to submit my applications to Durham University and Manchester University in time. After waiting for a while, I was very fortunate to receive a conditional offer from Durham University. I was very happy because after all, my current average score did not meet the minimum requirements for admission to Durham University and Durham's Social Sciences are quite strong. The University of Manchester was also continuing to review my application and I listened to the University Choice team’s advice to supplement my results from the first semester of my final year.  I am very much looking forward to the outcome of my application to Manchester. All in all, I would highly recommend University Choice for anyone’s application.
